John McCain apparently has given up his "straight talk" for a more populist message about the economy. You'll remember back in January before the Michigan primary, McCain told Michigan voters that the jobs they are used to, namely in the automobile industry, were lost and were not coming back. Fast forward six months, now that he's the nominee and is facing off against Obama and his charisma and message of hope, McCain is playing the "populist card" by saying that new jobs are on the way.
